our love story

We me at a mutual friend’s house September 2008 who was having a party. Shaun introduced himself to Laura, but she continued to call him by the wrong name. The next day Laura knew she had to see him again. The rest is history. For our engagement…Shaun knew Laura was not too keen on turning 30, so he set up a whole bunch of surprises on her actual Birthday. The day started with a “Laura’s Dirty 30” workout. Then he surprised her with a facial and hair blow out. After that there was breakfast waiting for her at the restaurant a couple doors down. Then later when she was getting ready to go to dinner he surprised her with 2 dresses to choose from for the night. Then they left our house to go to dinner but we went to a brewery first because she needed to check on details for a party that we were having in a couple weeks. She walked in the brewery and there were over 40 people yelling surprise! Shaun has thrown Laura a surprise party (there was no actual plans for dinner). Then as the night went on everyone sang happy birthday and Laura gave a little thank you speech. Shaun then took over and made his own speech and got down on one knee in front of everyone and asked me to be his wife.
